1. Who we are

The Services are provided by Sprezza LLC, a limited liability company based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Astronote is a product of Sprezza LLC. For privacy purposes, Sprezza LLC is the controller of your personal information.

2. What information we collect

Information you provide to us

A note on sensitive content. Because Astronote is a journaling and self-reflection app, the content you choose to write may reveal sensitive information about you (for example, about your health, beliefs, relationships, or emotions). You decide what to record. We treat this content as private to your account, we do not use it to target advertising, and we do not sell it.

Information collected automatically

When you use the app, certain information is collected automatically, primarily through Google Firebase:

Advertising identifiers

If you have not opted out, our advertising partners may access a device advertising identifier (such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Google's Advertising ID) to display and measure ads. On iOS, we will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any such identifier is used for tracking. See "Advertising and your choices."

Payments

Astronote is free to download and offers a paid (premium) version through in-app purchase or subscription. All payments are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and we receive limited transaction information such as your subscription or purchase status. We do not collect or store your full payment card details; those are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.

3. What we do not collect

To be clear about what Astronote does not do, we do not:

6. How and with whom we share information

A current list of sub-processors can be provided on request at support@astronoteapp.com.

7. Advertising and your choices

Astronote may display advertising provided by third-party advertising partners, such as Google AdMob.

Our advertising partners process data under their own privacy policies. You can learn about Google's advertising practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

8. Social and third-party sign-in

Astronote lets you create an account or sign in using email and password, or through third-party providers such as Sign in with Apple and Google. If you sign in through a third party, we receive basic profile information from that provider (such as your name and email address, depending on the provider and your settings). We use this information only to create and manage your account. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any provider you use.

9. Third-party links and services

The Services, including any advertisements, may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies before providing them with information.

10. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information and content, except where we are required or permitted to retain it (for example, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements). Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

11. How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encrypted at rest by our cloud provider (Google Cloud). Access to personal information and user content is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate or support the Services.

Please note that Astronote is not end-to-end encrypted, which means your content is technically accessible to our systems and authorized personnel for operating the Services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can help protect your account by using a strong, unique password.

If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

12. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you access Astronote from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required (for example, for transfers from the EEA or UK), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app, or by emailing support@astronoteapp.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

EEA / UK / Switzerland: you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Canada: you may have rights of access and correction under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, and you may withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

14. U.S. state privacy rights (California and other states)

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have specific rights, which may include the rights to: confirm whether we process your information; access, correct, and delete it; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of targeted advertising and any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You also have the right to appeal a refusal of your request, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise these rights, email support@astronoteapp.com or use the in-app controls. You may use an authorized agent, with proof of authorization.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals. You can also delete your account and associated content directly within the app (in account settings), or by emailing support@astronoteapp.com. 18. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as an in-app message). We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
